Privacy Policy

Effective June 7, 2026. This policy explains what personal information Retreat Landscape Design collects through this website, why we collect it, and how we handle and protect it. We keep this simple on purpose: we ask only for what we need to respond to you and plan your project.

Who we are

Retreat Landscape Design Ltd. is a landscape design-build company based in Collingwood, Ontario, serving the Georgian Bay and Blue Mountain area. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Retreat Landscape Design. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website.

Information we collect

When you fill out the contact form on our website, you choose what to share with us. The form may ask for:

  • Your name
  • Your email address

  • Your property address
  • How you heard about us
  • The type of project you are interested in
  • An approximate budget range
  • Your preferred timeline
  • A description of your project and anything else you choose to tell us

Only your name, email, phone number, property address, and a short project description are required. The rest is optional and helps us prepare for a more useful first conversation.

Why we collect it

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
  • Prepare for and schedule a consultation about your property
  • Understand the scope of the project you have in mind
  • Keep in touch with you about the project you contacted us about

How we use and share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We do not send you marketing emails without your permission. We share your information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers. When you submit the form, your message is delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery service, and our website is hosted on Cloudflare. These providers process your information only to deliver our website and our email, and only on our instructions.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working properly, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure our marketing. This may include analytics and advertising tools from third parties, such as Google Analytics and Google Ads, along with our hosting provider’s privacy-focused analytics. These tools may set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website work. We do not use this information to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with the details you send through the contact form.

How we store and protect your information

Your form submission is transmitted over an encrypted connection and reaches us as an email. We take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, and we limit access to the people who need it to respond to you. The contact form also includes basic anti-spam measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to carry out and stand behind your project. When we no longer have a business or legal reason to keep it, we delete it or otherwise remove your personal details. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your privacy rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
